I've been trying so many things to help my daughter fall asleep independently, but nothing seemed to work. When I ordered this pillow, my expectations were pretty low.
However, I first made a few small changes to our routine based on what I read in the sleep guide that came as a gift with my purchase. We tried to get more natural light in the morning and keep the lights in our apartment dim in the evening. We use red lights around the apartment and a reading light for bedtime stories, turning on brighter lights only when we need to use the bathroom.
I think these changes were already helping because she started getting sleepier by the time we turned off the lights.

Nice pillows! We got the Unicorn and the Whale. They're soft, silky, and look quite big, but the kids find them really comfortable. They especially love the little hanging details, like the ears and tails, which they can hold onto while falling asleep.
It's an OK pillow. My son loves it, but it hasn't helped him sleep through the night. However, he's definitely become more independent when it comes to falling asleep with his little buddy.

The Fox pillow is smaller than I expected and my daughter said it was 'too flat' to sleep on. She tried it for two nights and then went back to her regular pillow. As a stuffed animal it's cute, but as a pillow it didn't work for her at all. Disappointing given the price. Two stars.
The Unicorn is so cozy that I sometimes find myself squishing it when my daughter isn't looking. It's genuinely a very satisfying texture. She obviously knows what she has with this one. Great product.
